Daniel Davidsson is a London based sculptor, currently working with abstract forms in concrete and steel. He was born in Reykjavik, Iceland to Icelandic and English parents, brought up in Brighton and now resides in Camden Town.
From a background in science and engineering, sculpture provided the practice to combine his technical skills and understanding of technical processes to the creative application of materials and concepts. His work draws a connection with the tradition of Russian Constructivism and Brutalist Architecture while attempting to incorporate the use of space that was so powerfully employed by the Basque sculptors Eduardo Chillida and Jorge Oteiza. He currently works out of the Black Horse Workshop in Walthamstow, London.
