"My piece was inspired by the Iching's hexagram 53. 'to develop gradually' after I asked it the question 'how do we as a global community get better?'. I also took inspiration from Duncan McMillans play Lungs, where a discussion takes place about morally bringing children into a broken world. The canvas is a map of my local countryside in Oxfordshire. I navigated the land while negotiating these ideas."
